Detailed Information

This PPM encoder will encode regular PWM inputs into a single PPM output. This allows you to combine up to 8 channels from a regular RC receiver to a single PPM input for your flight controller (like Pixhawk) or electronics project.
The whole project is based around the ATMEL ATMEGA328p AVR processor and  all timing is done within interrupts so accuracy and stability is optimized.  The open source firmware by John Arne and Olivier Adler as part of the ardupilot project..
The design of the PPM Encoder is based on the Paparazzi PPM Encoder.
Important Note: The firmware comes pre-configured to read 8 Channels. In  case you would like to change the settings of the PPM encoder to invert  the PPM signal and change the fail safe pre-defined values you will need  an AVR ISP programmer in order to reprogram it.
The jumper on the board no soldering default. In this case the board powered by FC

How to power your receiver via PPM encoder?

There is a solder jumper that allows you to choose if you want your PPM encoder to route the power from your autopilot to your receiver.  To do this you just need to solder a blog across SJ1 on the top of your PPM encoder board.  For more information about this please visit the guide on how to power your PPM encoder
